Samples Of Montair FX, Vhymoral Forte, Aciloc RD Taken On Complaint Found Fake

KANPUR:  The business of fake medicines is going on on a large scale in the district. The team of the Drug Department raided MediLife Agency and Nigam Drugs Medical Store located on Birhana Road in September.

The team took samples of 18 medicines from here. These were sent to the lab for testing. Out of these, reports of seven medicines received. Drug Inspector Rekha Sachan and Om Pal Singh said that the raid was conducted on the information of selling fake medicines. The sample report of some medicines has come. In these reports, the medicines have been found to be fake and substandard. Action will be taken after the samples of all the medicines arrive.

The supply of fake medicines is increasing rapidly in the market. Two samples of medicines taken from Medi Life Agency have failed.

Chymoral Forte tablets were found to be fake. This drug belongs to a group of drugs called proteolytic enzymes. It is mainly used to relieve severe pain and inflammation in postoperative wounds and other inflammatory conditions. In some cases it may be prescribed to aid digestion.

Zerodol SP is a sub-standard medicine. It is used for short-term relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling of joints and muscles. It is used to treat certain conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, muscle pain, back pain, toothache, or ear and throat pain.

The report of five samples of medicines taken from Corporation Drugs has come out which have failed . Montair LC tablet has been found substandard. This medicine is used to treat allergy symptoms like runny nose, blocked nose, sneezing, itching, swelling, watery eyes and difficulty in breathing etc. It reduces swelling in the airways which makes breathing easier.

Chymoral Forte tablets were found to be fake. Samples of two batches were taken.

The Montair FX tablet has been found to be counterfeit. It is used for symptoms of common cold, allergic conditions, runny nose, sneezing, allergic rhinitis, fever, breathing problems.

Aciloc RD has been found to be counterfeit. This medicine reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach and relieves pain associated with heartburn and acid reflux.
