Spellman @AMTZ spells a new Dawn in X-ray Technology in India

Visakhapatnam:  Spellman, the world’s leading manufacturer of X-ray generators, is bringing its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility to the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ), marking a significant boost to India’s med-tech capabilities.

As the largest independent supplier of X-ray generators globally, Spellman’s decision to establish its first Indian facility at AMTZ reinforces the zone’s position as a hub for cutting-edge healthcare technology. The company, with a legacy dating back to 1947, has a strong presence across North America, Europe, and Asia and is trusted by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) for its expertise in medical, industrial, and scientific applications.

The formal commencement of Spellman’s facility setup was marked by a Bhoomi Poojan ceremony at the AMTZ campus, attended by representatives from Spellman’s global leadership, including Mr. Robert J. Frankland, VP Sales from the USA, Ms. Stephanie from China and Arindam Bose from Spellman India.

Emphasizing the significance of this collaboration, Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD and Founder CEO, AMTZ, said, ‘Having Spellman join Medtech Zone is a monumental step forward for India’s medtech industry. Their Expertise in X-ray technology will drive innovation and strengthen our mission to make healthcare technologies more accessible and affordable.

Spellman’s facility will be the first of its kind in India, manufacturing high-precision X-ray generators and advancing the country’s capabilities in healthcare technology. With over 2,100 employees worldwide and a reputation for innovation, Spellman is expected to catalyze new opportunities for collaboration, knowledge transfer, and economic growth in the region.

The addition of Spellman to AMTZ’s ecosystem highlights the zone’s growing prominence as a destination for global healthcare manufacturers.
