Three Suppliers Of 2 Lakh 34 Thousand Tramadol Arrested After 5 Years In Bathinda

Bathinda: Bathinda police has arrested 3 people from Gujarat who were absconding for 5 years in the case of supplying 2 lakh 34 thousand narcotic pills from Gujarat to Bathinda.

Thermal police station police had recovered 2 lakh 34 thousand narcotic pills Tramadol from Transport Nagar of the city on 12 August 2019.

During investigation, police registered a case of drug smuggling against four persons from Gujarat on 13 September 2019, a month later, on charges of supplying narcotic pills. Bathinda police was continuously searching for the said people from Gujarat, but the accused were playing hide and seek with the police for the last 5 years.

SHO Inspector Sukhwinder Singh said that based on secret information, Bathinda police team recently raided Gujarat and arrested accused Arvind Bhai Dhanna Bhai Patel resident Rabari Vas Karadhani District Banaskantha Gujarat, Mukesh Bhai Shankar Bhai Patel resident Karadhani Police Station Dhanera District Banaskantha and Patel Bharmal Bhai resident Kardhani Vas Karadhani Police Station Dhanera District Banaskantha Gujarat by Police Station Deodar District Banaskantha.

He told that in this case some people were arrested by the police on the spot, but the people from Gujarat were absconding, out of which the police has now arrested 3 people, while one person Ramesh Bhai, resident of Gujarat, is still absconding. He said that the people arrested from Gujarat are being presented in the court and police remand will be taken. So that further interrogation can be done. He said that more important revelations are likely to be made from the accused in this case.
