Two Arrested With 1.14 Lakh Alprazolam Tablets

Haridwar : Mangalore police arrested two accused with banned drugs worth one lakh being brought from neighboring states to Uttarakhand for supply. After recovering 1 lakh 14 thousand alprazolam tablets from them, the police have arrested both of them.

According to the police, in the police campaign to stop drug smuggling, on Thursday morning, the Mangalore police stopped a bike and scooter rider and searched them during checking. During the search, 1 lakh 14 thousand Alprazolam tablets were recovered from their possession. The said drug has been banned for a long time.

During interrogation, the accused told that he should give this medicine in his name, Istkar resident Lala Wali Gali Old Tehsil Roorkee Kotwali Gangnahar and Vineet resident Gali No. 2 South Krishnapuri Kotwali Nagar Muzaffarnagar. The accused also told the police that the above medicines were brought from Muzaffarnagar and supplied to the medical stores of Haridwar. All such medical stores are being identified. The police are now challaning both the accused and presenting them in the court.
