2 Arrested With Narcotic Injections Worth Rs 1.85 Lakh, One Absconding

Ramanujanagar: On Monday night, the Ramanujnagar police station received information from an informer that three people on a bike are going from Surajpur towards Premnagar to sell drugs. On receiving the information, the police laid a siege in Narayanpur village.

During checkinge, 3 people were seen coming on a bike. When they were signaled to stop, one of them jumped off the bike and took advantage of the darkness and ran away. Police caught Ajay Sahu alias Jaiprakash, age 22 years, resident of village Bhuvneshwarpur, police station Ramanujnagar and Rehman Taj father Samsuddin, age 28 years, resident of village Devnagar, police station Surajpur along with the bike.

318 narcotic injections, 22 cough syrups and 550 tablets were recovered from them. Cost of these is about 1 lakh 85 thousand rupees.

In this case, the narcotic drug and the bike were seized and action was taken under section 21 (c) NDPS Act and both the accused were arrested. At the same time, the absconding accused is being traced.
