Four arrested for selling duplicate hand Sanitisers and Masks in Noida

A duplicate company caught for selling hand-sanitisers and masks in Noida on Saturday, a day after the Centre declared the two items as ‘essential commodities’.

“After getting the details from sources, a raid was conducted at around 2.30 PM in commercial hub of Sector 63 where manufacturing of the products were being taken into effect and four people were arrested from the spot. Over 5000 of hand sanitisers and 5000 of face masks have been seized and each item was labelled as ‘SG Group”, according to SDM Rajeev Rai (official who conducted the raid).

On Friday, Centre had declared masks and hand sanitisers under the Essential Commodities Act up to June 30 and offender under the Act may be punished with imprisonment up to seven years or fine or both and can be detained for a maximum of six months.
