Sultanpur: Illegal Medical Store Raided, Medicines Seized

Sultanpur : A medical store operating in a tin shed without license in Aliganj area was raided by a team of drug inspectors from four districts on Friday morning. After investigation, the team sealed the medical store. Medicines worth about one lakh 80 thousand rupees have been seized and four samples have been taken and will be sent to the laboratory for examination.

This action was taken at the Mirza Medical Store operating without a license in Ravinia West village on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway. Sultanpur’s Drug Inspector Anita Kuril had informed about this to the Assistant Commissioner Ayodhya. Assistant Commissioner DC Srivastava constituted a joint team of drug inspectors of Barabanki, Ayodhya, Sultanpur and Amethi districts. This team raided with the police on Friday morning. In the investigation, the medical store was found to be operating without a license in a tin shed called Numa Gumti.

Anita Kuril said that medicines worth Rs one lakh 80 thousand have been seized from an illegally running medical store. A complaint will be filed against the medical store operator. Along with this, four samples have been taken and will be sent to the laboratory for examination.
