Smuggler Arrested With 3 Thousand Drug Capsules And Pills

Yamunanagar : Anti Narcotics Cell got a big success in the district. The team arrested a smuggler with a cache of banned drugs (3000 banned capsules). There are already 3 NDPS cases registered against the arrested accused. Now he was out on bail and as soon as he came, he again started the same business. Initial investigation revealed that its wires are connected to UP. Presently he will be produced in the court and taken on police remand.

Pramod Walia, in-charge of Anti-Narcotics Cell, said that his team received information that a person was roaming with banned medicines near Kalavad village. The team was formed on the basis of secret information. The team went to the spot and arrested the person roaming there. On searching the person, a huge cache of banned medicines was recovered from him. The Drug Control Officer was called on the spot, who came and examined the seized medicines. 2376 Promozol capsules and 600 Alprazolam tablets were recovered from the accused.

A total stock of 2976 medicines has been recovered from the accused, whose transportation is completely banned. During interrogation, the accused was identified as Mukesh, a resident of Kalavad. A case was registered against the accused and presented in the court, from where he has been taken on remand for 2 days.

Incharge Pramod Walia said that the accused disclosed in the preliminary investigation that he used to bring banned medicines from Uttar Pradesh. Now the police will soon arrest the next accused during the remand. There are already 3 NDPS cases registered against the accused. The accused came out of jail 5 months ago and as soon as he came, he again started selling banned medicines. The accused used to sell drugs to the youth around the village.
