Bihar: Department Awakened After Raid By Delhi Crime Branch

Muzaffarpur: The Drugs Control department came into action here after links of fake cancer medicines were linked to Muzaffarpur. Before the raid by the Delhi Crime Branch, the Drug Controller or his team did not have such information.

Now after the arrest of one accused Aditya Krishna, the department has made a strategy for investigation in the district. The Assistant Drug Controller has given the task to all the drug inspectors.

It will be investigated whether the fake medicine found in Delhi is being sold here or not? If it is being sold then its bill will be taken. On the basis of this, a report will be given to the department.

Departmental officials said that cancer medicines are expensive. It is not available in general stores. Therefore, investigation will be done after first getting information about the shop. Delhi Police has not yet contacted the department.

According to the information received from the department, a complaint was made by Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Institute six months ago. In this, a complaint was made about selling the medicine given to a cancer patient in a private shop. After this, the drug department team conducted an investigation.

According to the Office of the Assistant Drug Controller, the team there conducted the investigation. According to the complaint, no such medicine was found. Due to the fact that the receipt and register of the medicines being sold there were not updated, the sale was immediately banned. After checking the sale receipt of the medicine within 15 days, it is being sold again there.

Dr. Ravikant Singh, in-charge of Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, said that the medicines given to last stage patients are being sold in private shops after the death of the patient’s relatives. This medicine is available at concessional rates in the hospital. After this, he investigated at his level and complained.

Told that medicines are not sold outside his place. Complete monitoring is being maintained. Told that the police has not contacted any technician or any employee from here.
