Morbi: 10 Thousand Intoxicating Cough Syrup Bottles Seized

Morbi: City police seized 10 thousand bottles of intoxicating cough syrup from a warehouse of the transport company. Police detained one accused from the spot.

During patrolling, Morbi City A Division police team received information that a large quantity of bottles of intoxicating cough syrup of a company were lying in the warehouse of a transport company in the Lati Plot area.

On receiving information, the police team raided the place. 10 thousand bottles of intoxicating cough syrup worth Rs 20,54,800, a mobile phone and goods worth Rs 20,59,800 were seized from there.

Police detained Asif Rathod, resident of Vavdi Road, Morbi. A case was registered against Gopal Bharwad, resident of Rajkot, owner of the transport company and warehouse.

The intoxicating cough syrup bottles used to come from Delhi to Rajkot through a logistics company and were later sent from Rajkot to Morbi through a logistics company. These bottles were kept in the warehouse of a transport company in the Lati Plot area. These bottles were kept in the warehouse since March 6.
