Fake doctors are treating patients

Rajasthan Medical Council made such people doctors on the basis of fake documents, who are only 12th pass. These people neither studied medicine for a single day nor did internship. Without any degree, they were given the post of gynaecologist. The worrying thing is that after getting registered in RMC, all these fake doctors are treating patients by putting their lives at risk.

Stamped on fake certificate

Meet Dr Sarimul H. Majumdar. He made a fake certificate from Tamil Nadu Medical Council on 21 June 2021 using the doctor practice registration number 151108 of the real woman doctor Comethagam and applied online to Rajasthan Medical Council that he wants to practice as an Obstetrician Surgeon and Gynecologist. Rajasthan Medical Council granted registration number 68917 for Obstetrician Surgeon and 29027 for Gynecologist on 19 July 2024 without any investigation. The council did not even try to find out whether this person actually existed or not. Now through this fake certificate, he has obtained the real certificate
and the number of Rajasthan Medical Council. No one knows in which area and which patient he is treating.

Similarly, Dr. Geeta Kumari got her name registered in the certificate of the real doctor Pawar Mandar Hemant from Maharashtra Medical Council on 15 March 2024 by making some changes and using his registration number 2024030958, she got the license to see patients from Rajasthan Medical Council on 9 July 2024 with number 68742 for MBBS and 28964 for gynaecologist. That is, with the registration of the stolen doctor Pawar Mandar Hemant, she became a real doctor from Rajasthan Medical Council.

Dr Devendra Nehra also made a fake certificate on 20 July 2022 using the practice registration number 2022075743 of the real doctor Vaishnavi Balram from Maharashtra Medical Council by making alterations in her practice registration certificate and uploaded it online and obtained the number 6833 for seeing patients from Rajasthan Medical Council on 21 June 2024. On the other hand, Dr Mahesh Kumar Gurjar obtained the practice registration number 6078 for seeing patients after becoming an MBBS on 19 April 2023. He
obtained the stamp of a real doctor from Rajasthan Medical Council on 25 January 2023 by making alterations in the certificate number 13577 of the real doctor Adviti Kallipal.

Fraud was revealed after scrutinizing the documents

This fraud going on in RMC was revealed when documents were scrutinized in the medical councils and medical universities of Rajasthan, Haryana, Bihar, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The investigation revealed that this entire game in RMC was played by breaking into the process of registration of doctors already registered in the councils of other states in Rajasthan. Fake doctors submitted fake registration certificates and NOCs of other state councils with their applications and RMC registered them without verifying them.

Most fake doctors in Bihar

Most of the fraudsters turned out to be those who applied to become doctors from Bihar. Doctor Pankaj Yadav from Bihar received registration number 68250 for MBBS practice on 13 June 2024. For this, he used Bihar Medical Council registration number 54689, which is not even in Bihar Medical Council. Doctor Shantanu Kumar received registration number 67645 from Rajasthan Medical Council on 14 May 2024 to see patients. For this, he used Bihar Medical Council registration number 54665 issued on 20 March 2024, which is not even in Bihar Medical Council.

No degree was asked for. Certificate, NOC, verification… all fake

According to the rules, an online application is made for registration in Rajasthan Medical Council, after which on the last day the person has to appear with all the original certificates. Rajasthan Medical Council decided that if the applicant is registered in the council of another state, then only the copy of the registration certificate and NOC is attached. RMC verifies it by e-mail to the concerned council and registration is done only if both the documents are found to be correct. Taking advantage of this process, the fraud started.

While applying online, the fake doctors attached fake registration certificates and NOCs to the councils of different states. These were not sent to the state councils for verification. Even after taking online applications, all the work was being done offline. Registration certificates were also being issued offline.

It is worth mentioning that the CBI had caught the fraud of Rajasthan Medical Council and after that, it raided Rajasthan Medical Council for 24 hours, then registration of five fake doctors was caught, against whom a case is going on. After this disclosure, Rajasthan Medical Council Registrar Dr. Rajesh Sharma says that yes, we have registered fake doctors and allowed them to see patients, but their whereabouts are not known. Due to this mistake of ours, the lives of patients are at risk. But this has been going on here for a long time,
we are trying to fix it.
