2880 Anti-Rabies Vaccine Vials Stolen From Manihari Hospital; Suspect Arrested

Manihari: Authorities have reported the theft of 2880 vials of anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) from the Manihari subdivision hospital. Manoj Kumar, the hospital’s store in-charge, has filed a complaint with the police, naming Dhirendra Kumar, a fourth-class employee, as the primary suspect.

Upon discovering a discrepancy in the inventory, the store in-charge reviewed the CCTV footage, which revealed Dhirendra Kumar allegedly stealing the vaccines and handing them over to an unidentified individual.

Following this evidence, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered. Dr. Brajesh Kumar Sinha, the hospital’s deputy superintendent, confirmed that he was informed of the incident by the store in-charge and has since viewed the CCTV recordings.

In response to the allegations, Dhirendra Kumar’s wife, Sapna Kumari, has claimed that her husband is being wrongfully accused and suggested that the store in-charge had actually directed him to take the vaccines. This incident has raised significant concerns regarding the operational integrity of the hospital administration.
