17760 banned capsules caught during checking, accused arrested

Bijnor/Rehad:  Late Friday evening, a joint team of drug inspector and police seized 17760 banned capsules during checking. The police have also arrested the accused.

The drug inspector and police team were checking at Badigarh intersection in Rehad area late Friday evening. During this, the team stopped a car coming from Jaspur. During checking, 74 boxes were recovered from the Swift car. In which 17760 capsules were recovered.

Taking action, the police arrested Ibran son of Rahmatullah, resident of village Mahua Dabra of police station Jaspur. The price of the banned medicine caught during checking has been estimated to be Rs 132240. These capsules are used for intoxication.

A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act. The company that made the seized capsules is from Ujjain. Whereas, it is being sold in this market by a company based in Gorakhpur. In this regard, CO Alok Singh said that the accused person has been challaned and presented in the court.

During checking at Badigarh crossing, 17760 capsules of banned medicine were recovered from Swift car. A case has been registered against the accused. Further action is being taken. Umesh Bharti, Drug Inspector, Bijnor
