Nadda preparedness to prevent vector-borne diseases in Delhi

With the monsoon season less than two months away, Union Minister for Health and Welfare J.P. Nadda chaired a meeting to review the preparedness of concerned agencies to prevent and manage vector-borne diseases in Delhi.

J.P. Nadda, Union Minister for Health and Welfare hold a meeting to ensure the safety measures and preparations of concerned agencies to keep the check on the prevention and management of vector-borne diseases in Delhi. Less than two months of time left in the monsoons and safety precautions reviews are mandatory to ensure the health of the Delhi citizens.

Nadda also instructed officials to conduct supervisory visits to the hospitals in the capital for assessing the situation and preparedness, during the meeting. After the rain, the vector-borne diseases arise and we should prepare to handle that situation. Nadda also ordered the officials that there should be no shortage of diagnostic kits, drugs, testing labs, manpower and funds at the time of need.

Minister also guided officials to launch awareness programs on the prevention and control of the aforementioned diseases before the onset of the monsoon season.
