Private Bus staff involved in Drug Smuggling

Srinagar Police recently busted a drug racket that made use of private bus staff members to transfer drugs from Jaipur to Srinagar. Police seized highly addictive narcotic pills that were smuggled by a private bus conductor.

The whole racket worked with a complete chain process and get caught by Police when they arrested 4 members included mastermind Balwant Singh. Police have collected 10,6950 tablets of Tramadol and Alprazolam.

The process and gang operations were planned very well and their kingpin Balwant Singh expert to contact conductors to carry these pills from one place to another. Mirdual Kachawa, Circle Officer (CO) Sriganganagar Rural told to media that gang is very expert in smuggling drugs and kept their consignments in the inter-district private buses. Police also arrested one of the conductors who was involved.

With deep investigations of their operations, Police found Jaipur based wholesale drug dealer was also involved. With investigations, Police found that these pills were brought to Srinagar from the Film Colony area of the pink city. On behalf of this information, Police arrested Lokesh Agarwal from Jaipur, who had supplied these drugs to Balwant.

Srinagar Police officers also said that pills were going to sell to many of the youngsters who are addicted to the narcotic substances. The main cause of concern is that Tramadol and Alprazolam pills are highly addictive drugs and their overdose can fail multiple organs immediately. Counter sale of these drugs is banned and their sale is also highly regulated by the authorities.

Kagawa also said that they didn’t reveal the names of their partners and some names have cropped and are under investigation. Police also scanning other wholesale dealers to check their involvement in similar cases.

Police officials also said that the geographical location of Srinagar is also one of the reasons as it interstate borders of Rajasthan and Punjab. Drug menace on neighboring state indeed has infected some people living on the border areas.

Many other states started similar operations to find out the suspects involved in the smuggling business.
