DGFT Extends Deadline on Application for Export of Pharma Grade Sugar

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ) has notified an extension in the deadline for submitting applications for the export of Pharma Grade Sugar. This was communicated through Trade Notice No. 09/2025-26, dated July 22, 2025.

As per the latest trade notice, the revised deadline for submission of applications for obtaining Export Authorisation has been extended to July 31, 2025. This extension follows the earlier communication under Trade Notice No. 06/2025-26 issued on June 18, 2025, which had originally set the deadline.

The notice stated that “In continuation to the earlier Trade Notice No. 06/2025-26 dated June 18, 2025, the last date for submission of application for Export Authorisation for Pharma Grade Sugar, has been extended up to July 31, 2025. All other contents of the Trade Notice remains unchanged.”

According to the directorate, all other terms and conditions mentioned in the earlier notice are still in effect. With the high standards and sensitive nature of exporting pharmaceutical-grade sugar, the delay is meant to provide exporters more time to finish the required paperwork and regulatory compliance.

This announcement has been circulated to all Regional Authorities of DGFT, Customs Commissionerates, and members of the trade community. For any further clarification, stakeholders have been advised to contact the DGFT.
