First virtual expo on healthcare to be launched by SGCCI

SURAT: The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) is ready to launch country’s first virtual expo on healthcare.
The main aim of virtual healthcare expo is to capture new opportunities for the sector amid COVID-19 disruption and the virtual expo will be held for 15 days. The companies which are producing healthcare products from Gujarat and across the country are more likely to participate in the virtual expo. The virtual expo is likely to be held from May 15.

Ketan Desai, President of SGCCI, said that “This is going to be the first virtual expo on healthcare. We have already designed the virtual 360 degree content for the expo and that about 25 companies from the healthcare industry have already registered. The virtual expo has been designed in such a manner that the visitors would get the feeling as if they are visiting live exhibition. The virtual expo will run 24 hours and 7 days for 15 days and anyone from the world and without the cost of flights and hotels can visit the expo.

Devesh Patel, chairman of Exhibition committee of SGCCI said that the “Healthcare industry is going to be a promising sector in the times of coronavirus spread. The demand for PPE, personal hygiene products, masks, sanitisers, protective medical equipment and other vital products will be on the rise. We have organised more than 50 webinars on various subject since the lockdown was announced after March 25. Once the virtual expo is successful, we will organise more such expo making the optimum use of digital platform”
