Govt Job for Pharma professionals for Nanoscience & Nanotechnology

National Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnology, University of Mumbai (NCNNUM) has undertaken R&D and Training Programmes to meet some of the challenges of nanotechnology development.

University of Mumbai will focus on a) R&D in Nanosciences and Nanotechnology leading to industry-ready technology and b) Development of human resources to implement the technology.

Applications are invited on plain paper along with detailed bio-data for the following on Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission (RGSTC) sponsored project.

Project Title : Development of Filtration Device from Metal/ Metal Oxide Bio- nanocomposites (Catalyst, Adsorbents and Disinfectants) for Water Treatment in Rural Area.

Principal Investigator : Dr. Dipak Vitthal Pinjari
Adjunct Professor @ NCNNUM and UGC Assistant Professor @ Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai

Principal Co-Investigator : Prof. Aniruddha Bhalchandra Pandit
Vice Chancellor @ Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai

Junior Research Fellow (Position – 1)
Qualifications : M.Chem. Engg. Or ME/M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology Or M.Sc. in Chemistry Or M. Pharmacy

Salary : Rs. 25000/- per month (consolidated)
Duration : Two Year (Based on the performance, extension will be given every year or till project completes, whichever is earlier)

Job Description : Junior Research Fellow will be responsible for designing and performing the experimentation, process optimization, process set-up and application part of the proposed research project.

Project cum Executive Assistant (Position – 1)
Qualifications : B.Chem. Engg. Or BE/B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering/Chemical Technology Or B.Sc. in Chemistry/ Physics Or B. Pharmacy

Salary : Rs. 15300/- per month (consolidated)
Duration : Two Year (Based on the performance, extension will be given every year or till project completes, whichever is earlier)

Job Description : Analytical and testing part of the synthesis and application will be carried by appointed project cum executive assistant. He/She has to assist the JRF in execution of the project.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview (online mode) which will be held in July 2021. NO-TA/DA will be applicable for attending the interview. Only the shortlisted students will be communicated for the interview date.

The successful candidate may be or will be registered for Ph.D. program in his/her specialization if he/she has qualified the ICT PhD entrance examination in the academic year 2020-2021 or 2021-2022.

The last date of submission of completely filled application form along with bio-data is 9th July 2021.
