Himachal: Two Female Nurses Caught Drinking Alcohol Inside Government Hospital Late at Night

Two staff nurses at the Regional Hospital in Una, Himachal Pradesh, are facing serious allegations of consuming alcohol and smoking within the hospital premises. According to reports, the nurses were not only drinking themselves but allegedly invited a man into the ward and allowed him to drink and smoke as well—right inside the hospital.

The incident reportedly took place late at night in the surgical and medical wards. According to the complainant, the nurses were drinking until around 2 AM. One of them was even seen vomiting inside the hospital premises due to excessive alcohol consumption. All of this allegedly occurred in the presence of patients, raising serious concerns about hospital decorum and patient safety.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Health Department promptly initiated an investigation. The state’s Health Minister has also taken the matter seriously and ordered a thorough inquiry.

Dr. Sanjay Mankotia, Medical Superintendent of Regional Hospital Una, stated that a detailed report has already been prepared and submitted to senior officials. The investigation is ongoing, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
