India soon to have Consumer Protection Act For Misleading Ads

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced with underlining the Union government’s resolve of building a ‘New India’ that India soon to have Consumer Protection Act For Misleading Ads with strict guidelines.

At the International Conference on Consumer Protection for East, South & South-East Countries in New Delhi, PM Modi said that this new Act will support Consumer empowerment and guidelines on misleading ads will be stricter.

With reference to the writings of Vedas, Modi said that Consumer protection is very important and an inseparable part of governance and that too mentioned in Our Vedas.

New India building is only possible if people have their own consumer rights and this consumer protection is in line and will change to “consumer prosperity on the way ahead.

Modi while addressing also mentioned that GST(Goods Service Tax) will help in boosting competition between companies and will benefit poor ones in the long run.

The main point of his speech is that Government is making best efforts to keep a check on inflation and the consumer can save money.
