Medicines Worth Rs 1.30 Lakh Seized From Illegal Medical Store In Ghazipur

Ghazipur: The FSDA is continuously inspecting medical stores in Ghazipur with the aim of curbing the sale of sub-standards drugs.
During the same raid, medicines worth Rs 130,000 were seized. Many samples were also taken for testing. Due to this action taken by the FSDA, a situation of panic is being seen among the drug dealers.
It was told that on the orders of District Magistrate Aryaka Akhauri and the instructions of Assistant Commissioner of Drugs, Varanasi Division, Varanasi, drug inspector Brijesh Kumar Maurya and the joint team of police force in a surprise raid inspected a medical store selling medicines/medicines in the drug center located in Godur, which was being operated illegally in village Ghazipur.

While conducting raids on illegally operated medical stores, allopathic medicines worth Rs. 130,000 were seized. Samples of 2 suspected drugs were collected. After completion of the investigation report and analysis of the collected samples, a case will be registered in the competent court under relevant sections of the Drugs, Cosmetics and Goods Act-1940. Told that further action will be taken if illegally operated medical stores are found.
