Phensedyl worth Rs. 1.5 cr seized in Tripura

Agartala : In a successful drive towards achieving the government’s goal of building Neshamukt Tripura, the state police seized contraband syrup worth Rs.1.5 crore on Monday.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha hailed the police’s achievement on social media and mentioned, “Neshamukt Tripura campaign is yielding good results with active participation of Tripura Police.”

In an anti-narcotics drive, Ambassa police raided a truck and found 19,575 bottles of Phensedyl inside the vehicle.

One person has been detained in this connection and a case has been registered under NDPS Act.

“Our govt is committed to transform Tripura into a drugs-free state,” Dr. Saha commented.
