Pilani Public School begins in Vizag

Institution of Pilani’s repute within AMTZ is looked at as a milestone

Visakhapatnam:  In a landmark step toward bridging world-class education and healthcare innovation, Pilani Public School (PPS) inaugurated at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ) in Visakhapatnam. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Dr. Mallika Nadda, Chairperson of Special Olympics Bharat, and Dr. Jitendra Sharma, MD & Founder CEO of AMTZ and visionary behind India’s premier MedTech manufacturing cluster.

The establishment of PPS within the AMTZ campus, Asia’s largest medical technology park, marks a pioneering initiative where academic excellence meets technological inspiration. The school’s presence in this innovation-rich environment offers students exposure to real-world science, technology, and entrepreneurship from a young age—an opportunity unmatched by conventional institutions.

Pilani Public School is celebrated for its commitment to holistic, value-based education. Its new Visakhapatnam branch continues this legacy with state-of-the-art infrastructure: modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a swimming pool, and expansive sporting facilities including horse riding, cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball courts.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Mallika Nadda lauded the initiative, calling it “a visionary model that blends education, physical well-being, and innovation,” and emphasized the role of such institutions in nurturing responsible and globally aware citizens.
Dr. Jitendra Sharma, who has led AMTZ from a single-container startup to a ₹10,000 crore medical manufacturing powerhouse, highlighted how “having an institution of Pilani’s repute within AMTZ is a milestone not just for the zone, but for the entire region.” He added that the school would serve as a “fountainhead of future scientists, engineers, artists, sports persons and change-makers who will someday contribute to India’s healthcare transformation.” This world class school will not only serve the children of the Medtech zone employees but also the entire industrial cluster comprising Pharma, Steel plants, Auto, Naval etc in the side of Vizag city.

PPS Visakhapatnam distinguishes itself with a student-centric approach rooted in the multiple intelligence theory, offering a curriculum that integrates arts, music, dance, drama, and experiential learning. A landmark in the school’s journey was the delegation’s invitation to Rashtrapati Bhavan in August 2023, where students interacted with the Honourable President of India.

As it begins operations inside a zone that has powered India’s medical resilience and innovation, Pilani Public School at AMTZ stands as a symbol of aspiration and excellence—where future learners grow not just in knowledge, but in vision.
