New Delhi: Reset the Beat – an initiative by Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in collaboration with Medtronic on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 was launched in the hospital. The aim is to train the masses in the cardiorespiratory resuscitation (CPR) technique to save lives of individuals collapsing due to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) i.e. heart attack.
The event was inaugurated, by Dr. Ajay Swaroop, chairman of the Management Committee. Over the next three months, an additional 36 CPR training sessions will be conducted to encourage wider community participation. Additionally, conduct of six training sessions were announced for all medical, Paramedical and non medical staff as part of SGRH’s commitment to medical excellence
It seems heart is under siege post Covid and people are dropping dead like nine pins, thanks to cardiac arrests precipitating unwarranted in old and young alike. This has caused quandary among people and cardiologists equally. But thankfully, there is a reason to take heart as well.
