Medical negligence can’t be bearable as loss of life is a very big concern. A two-month-old baby girl died in Telangana due to medical negligence. The little baby was wrongly administered with the Pentavalent vaccine and that caused her death. Three other infants are also get hospitalized after the adverse reaction of the vaccine administered to them at the health center.
Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao from the Sircilla assembly constituency has met K Druvan Reddy, one of the affected children who was shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad and ensures his safety. Other two were also shifted to a Karimnagar hospital to get better care.
Kids parents said that their kids’ condition turned critical within 30 minutes after the vaccine was injected. And one kid died before the parent could take her to the hospital in Karimnagar.
District Medical and Health Officer, Dr. R Maruthi Rao told that 4 out of the 11 children injected with the pentavalent vaccination at the primary health center contracted health issues.
District Collector, D Krishna Bhaskar has suspended Dr. V Meenakshi, the health officer. The reason for this reaction is still unknown and families of kids alleged that injection was not given properly as an Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA) worker administered the vaccine as an Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) was not available.
Health department doctors are inquiring the matter and vials containing samples of the vaccine have been sent to examination center, Hyderabad.
