Narcotics Worth Rs 10L Seized From Medical Store Owner’s Residence

Faridkot: A joint team of the health department and the police on Monday claimed to have seized Rs 10.61 lakh in drug money and a large number of prohibited habit-forming drugs and narcotics from the house of a medical store owner. Acting on the information provided by the Crime Investigation Department (CID), the team conducted a raid at the residence of the medical store owner.

The Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sanjeev Kumar said after receiving information from the Crime Investigation Department, the police, along with Drug Inspector Harjinder Singh, raided Gaba Medical Store. He said the team also searched the house of the store owner and seized 5,270 banned tablets, 260 capsules and abortion kits. The DSP said the team seized Rs 10.61 lakh in drug money too. Police officials said the store owner, Rajat Gaba, has been arrested.
