Ramdev Slams Allopathy Immediately After SC Closes Contempt Case

Haridwar: The Supreme Court of India purged the contempt case filed by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Baba Ramdev and aide Balkrishna over Patanjali’s misleading ads and for slandering modern medicine. Baba Ramdev issued an unconditional apology for his Ayurvedic company, Patanjali’s, misleading advertisements that claimed cures for diabetes, asthma and other maladies. In its judgment, the apex court stated that if Patanjali repeated the actions, the consequences would be grave. The court cautioned the party that although “the sword of contempt has now returned to rest in its sheath, it shall flourish as swiftly” in the event of further contempt. Earlier, the SC in April had refused to accept Baba’s apology as mere lip service. Seems like their judgment was right. Immediately after the closure of the contempt proceedings following the apology, the self-proclaimed Yog Guru launched a fresh salvo against allopathy, calling it poisonous for the common people. Ramdev jibed.

“Allopathy ki zeherili dawai kha kha ke har saal karodo logon ki maut hoti hai. (Crores of people die consuming poisonous allopathy medicines.)

He proceeded to slam the British Raj, Islam, and Lenin-Marx-Mao for murdering millions, while allopathic medicines kill innocent people every year.

At the peak of COVID, Baba Ramdev’s statement that medicos practicing modern medicine are money-minded received backlash on social media. But as one gentleman commented, ‘dum seedhi na hui’ (the tail hasn’t become straight, IYKYK).
