Everyday illegal drugs worth lakhs of rupees are seize dt in Sidhi district. Despite this, the effect of drugs is not decreasing.
A large consignment of illegal drugs was again caught in Amiliya police station and Majhauli police station. The consignment of Onerex syrup was being brought to Sidhi district from Uttar Pradesh.
Amiliya police has seized 1200 Bottles of Onerex intoxicating syrup from Hanumana Bahri road coming directly from the border of Uttar Pradesh under the police station area. It was told that the station in-charge received information that people were going towards Amiliya police station area in a Baleno vehicle carrying Onerex syrup, after which station in-charge Rajesh Pandey deployed a team in the hill and stopped the Baleno car coming and checked it. Meanwhile, it was found that 1200 Bottles of Onerex cough syrup are loaded in it, which has become a hobby of the youth these days.
The youth mostly use this syrup as a drug. The police confiscated the Baleno car along with Onerex syrup. Action was taken against the accused. It was told that the cost of Onerex syrup is Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand. The police registered a case against the accused under 8/21, 22, 27 (a) NDPS Act and 5/13 Drug Control Act.
A white Baleno car bearing registration number UP 70 GQ 7332 and a white Apache motorcycle were seen ahead of them. The car was doing recce work. When the car was surrounded and stopped and asked for his name and address, he said his name was Rajesh Kumar Singh (28), resident of Dhus Post Devghat, Koraon Police Station, Prayagraj District, Uttar Pradesh. When the person sitting in the middle was asked for his name and address, he said his name was Sushil Kumar (24), resident of Jamua Post Devghat, Prayagraj Police Station, UP.
Valid documents were demanded from the driver regarding transportation of the banned narcotic Onerex cough syrup, but he did not produce any documents. In his statement he said that my friend Sushil Kumar Singh and Vivek Kumar Singh of village Belhat police station Koraon district Prayagraj do illegal business of Onerex Cough Syrup and whatever money they get, they share it among themselves. For this work Vivek Singh Patel was put on recce ahead on an Apache bike. I and my friend Sunil Kumar were bringing the goods Sidhi sitting in the vehicle, friend Vivek Singh Patel used to give information by doing recce ahead on the bike. On seeing the police he left the bike and ran away. A case was registered against the accused.
