Fake Cosmetics Worth Rs 10 Lakh Recovered In Alamganj

Patna: Based on a tip-off, Alamganj police raided a house in Tripolia and recovered large quantities of cosmetic items of various branded companies. These include medicated soaps and other items. Here, the business of re packaging cosmetic items and selling them in the market was being carried out. The cost of the seized counterfeit goods is estimated to be around 10 lakh rupees. The police are investigating the matter. The police have also recovered fake wrappers of various branded companies from the spot.

According to the information of Mo Sadullah of Brand Protection, the police of Alamganj police station raided the said house, in which a large quantity of medicated shampoo, inhaler, medicine, cold oil and other items were recovered. Based on the information, the police of Alamganj police station surrounded the house and raided it. However, the operator managed to escape.

The company representative said that cosmetic items of various branded companies were being repacked and sold in Machhatta and other big markets. Due to this, the companies were facing financial losses. However, consumers were being cheated. Illegal traders were manufacturing fake medicines and cosmetic items of various branded companies and selling them in the districts of North Bihar and the border districts of Uttar Pradesh. ASP Atulesh Jha said that the matter is being investigated. Only after this, something can be said.
