Health Ministry to conduct 1 lakh tests per day with Indian kits by May

NEW DELHI: India will produce its rapid antibody testing kits independently and RTPCR diagnostic kits by May and the country would try to make possible to meet the target of one lakh tests per day by the end of May, health minister Harsh Vardhan said.
Vardhan said, “Out of at least half a dozen candidates supported for vaccines, four are in an advanced stage. Regulatory platform in one place has been constituted for speedy clearances.”

Vardhan addressed scientists of autonomous institutes and PSUs under the department of biotechnology before reviewing their work relating to Covid-19 solutions.
Scientists said, “at least nine of these studies were in early stages and one delivery and adjuvant system for improving immunogenicity of the candidate vaccine was at an advanced stage.”
