NATHEALTH will make Quality Diagnostics Key in achieving Healthcare for all

New Delhi: In a first for the Indian healthcare industry, NATHEALTH, one of the country’s leading healthcare apex bodies has released its roadmap to enable healthcare access amongst people and patients, with a special focus on diagnostics and preventive medicine. Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Roche Diagnostics India, NATHEALTH revealed its plans to drive awareness, access and acceptance of digitalization for quality screening, diagnosis and monitoring solutions to reach people across India.

Dr. Sudarshan Ballal, President, NATHEALTH said, “The current healthcare scenario in India is unique. We have a fair balance of opportunities and challenges. To explore the full extent of the opportunities before us, there is a need for meaningful partnerships that can establish and sustain a robust healthcare ecosystem that focuses on people / patient understanding and technology in equal measure. I am pleased to announce that we have joined hands with Roche Diagnostic India to provide momentum to our efforts to push policy making that ensures greater access to medical technology and building awareness on the role advanced screening and diagnostic solutions play in reducing the disease burden of the system and the common man. We will be leveraging Roche’s diagnostics capabilities and relationships in India to achieve this objective.” 

According to Dr Shravan Subramanyam, Managing Director of Roche Diagnostics India, “It is important that our approach to healthcare development in India addresses some of our immediate needs, while building a foundation of innovation that will help us keep pace with advancing age and evolving disease patterns.
