Three Arrested With 414 Banned Cough Syrups

Sahebganj (Jharkhand) : In Barharwa and Ranga police station area, police have arrested three businessmen with huge quantities of cough syrup while taking major action against drugs. A police team led by Barharwa SDPO Pradeep Kumar Oraon arrested 34-year-old Rajesh Kumar Sah from Dharampur village under Ranga police station with banned illegal cough syrup. According to the police, Rajesh Sah has been jailed in the case of Sohail murder case and Arms Act under Ranga police station in the past. After coming out on bail, he got involved in an illegal cough syrup business.

Rakesh Kumar Mahto, 32, and Pankaj Kumar Mahto, 34, from Kushwaha Tola under Barharwa police station were also arrested from his house. During this, 250 bottles of banned coding cough syrup were recovered from the house of both. Giving information about the action in the press-conference, Barharwa SDPO said that 414 Bottles of codeine cough syrup have been recovered. Whose estimated cost is 65 thousand 725 rupees. Along with this, a motorcycle was also seized. The police have sent the accused to jail in judicial custody.
