Owners of 4 companies and plant heads arrested, manufacturing fake medicines of branded companies

Dehradun: The Uttarakhand STF team arrested the owners and plant heads of 4 companies who were manufacturing fake medicines of branded companies. So far, the STF has arrested 10 members including the mastermind of the gang that manufactured and sold fake medicines. Information about the criminal history of the accused is being collected from other states.

In fact, on June 1, STF arrested a person Santosh Kumar with a large quantity of fake wrappers, fake outer boxes, labels and QR codes of reputed pharmaceutical companies. In connection with which a case was registered in Selaqui Police Station, Dehradun district. After which STF arrested the first 6 accused in this case, Santosh Kumar, Naveen Bansal, Aditya Kala, Devi Dayal Gupta, Pankaj Sharma and Vijay Kumar Pandey.

In this case, the accused namely, Keron Life Science Pvt. Ltd. Dehradun, BLBK Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. Dehradun, OXI Pharma Pvt. Ltd. Dehradun and Gentic Pharmaceutical Pvt. Ltd. Dehradun, flouted the rules and on the oral order of accused Naveen Bansal, sold around 18 lakh tablets without packing them in strips to fake firm Beecham Biotech of accused Naveen Bansal alias Akshay.

These companies mentioned MRP 00.00 in the medicine bill to help transport the medicine and justify their sale, which was for supply to government hospitals. Whereas accused Naveen Bansal alias Akshay did not have any contract agreement or permission to supply medicines to any government or hospital. In this way, accused Naveen Bansal alias Akshay got the medicines without strips packed in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan with the help of the company and easily packed them in strips in the name of branded medicine company and sold them in the market with the help of co-accused.

In this way, these medicines were purchased illegally from pharmaceutical companies by accused Naveen Bansal’s fake firm Beecham Biotech, Bhiwadi Rajasthan several times in the years 2023-24 and 2024-2025. In view of the serious allegations made deliberately to supply medicines to this fake firm, 4 company heads were arrested.

SSP STF Navneet Bhullar said that the STF team arrested Pradeep Gaur resident KV Thapa Marg near Green Valley School (Gentic Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd Dehradun), Shailendra Singh resident Meerut (BLBK Pharmaceutical Pvt Ltd Dehradun), Shishir Singh resident Premnagar (OXI Pharma Pvt Ltd Dehradun) and Tejinder Kaur resident GMS Road (Keron Life Science Pvt Ltd Dehradun). Further information is being gathered in detail about them.
