QCI Introduces Innovative Solution ‘Quality Setu’ To Streamline NABH Complaints Redressal Process

Mumbai: In order to streamline the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH) helpdesk and complaints redressal process, the Quality Council of India (QCI) and all its boards have introduced an innovative solution for addressing concerns promptly and transparently through “Quality Setu”.

NABH is a constituent board of Quality Council of India, set up to establish and operate accreditation programmes for healthcare organisations. The board is structured to cater to much desired needs of the consumers and to set benchmarks for progress of the healthcare industry. The board, while being supported by all stakeholders including industry, consumers, government, has fully functional autonomy in its operation.

“All queries and concerns pertaining to NABH will be exclusively addressed through the “Quality Setu” portal from January 1, 2024, onwards. This transition is aimed at enhancing efficiency, speedy resolution and ensuring a seamless experience for our stakeholders. One may please access the “Quality Setu” portal using the following website link:https://qualitysetu.qcin.org/. Also, users are requested to go through “NABH Policy and Procedure for handling of Complaints,” informs Dr. Atul Mohan Kochhar, CEO, NABH.

The QCI recently also introduced the celebration of Quality Month towards facilitating development of a Quality and Innovation Culture in institutions globally. It is also aimed at promoting awareness of quality for individuals’ and organisations’ growth. It will also help to recognize the importance of an overall quality focus and incorporate proven principles into daily life. The objective is mainly to lay emphasis on learning and sharing of knowledge in Quality, Innovation and Best Practices.

November is recognized internationally as World Quality Month. Japan has been celebrating World Quality Month in November since 1960. China originally recognized World Quality Month in September starting in 1978. North America started raising awareness in 1988 and originally celebrated in October.

First promulgated by the United Nations in 1990, World Quality Day aims to raise international awareness of the important role quality plays in ensuring nations’ prosperity. Now it is celebrated annually on the second Thursday of November. In the UK, Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) will celebrate World Quality Day with events from November 11 to 15. The South African Quality Institute also celebrates National Quality Week annually.
