Yamunanagar: Drug Smuggler Arrested With Banned Medicines Worth Lakhs Of Rupees

Yamunanagar : The Crime Branch-2 team has arrested a drug smuggler with a large quantity of banned capsules, pills, injections and syrups. Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa, while addressing the reporters during a press conference in his office on Friday afternoon, said that the Crime Branch-2 team arrested a person coming from Uttar Pradesh to Haryana to supply large quantities of banned capsules, pills, injection and syrup in the car.

He said that such a huge consignment of drugs has been caught for the first time in the district. This consignment of drugs was to be sold for lakhs of rupees. After registering a case against the accused, he will be presented in the court today and will be taken on remand. He said that the police had received a tip-off that a drug smuggler would come in his car carrying a huge consignment of drugs from Uttar Pradesh to Haryana via Kalanaur for supply.

On this information the team was formed. The team went to the Kalanaur border and started checking the vehicles by blockade. When a car was stopped and checked, a huge amount of narcotics was found in it. Amit Kumar was arrested on this. A total of 10 thousand 80 capsules, 75 thousand pills, 300 syrups and 100 injections have been recovered from his car.

2880 Capsules of Spasmo Proxyvon, 60000 Lomotil Tabs, 6000 Caps Pyeevo Spas Plus Caps, 15000 Alprazolam Tabs, 300 Bottles Chlorpheniramine Syrup, 1200 Caps Hydroghloride Caps and 100 Inj Tramadol are recovered and seized.

The accused was identified as Amit Kumar resident of Barara district Ambala. The arrested banned accused will be produced in the court today and taken on remand.
